Folks, just a reminder that the 2011 KFA-NY Holiday Party and fundraiser raffle will be held on December 14th and will be for members(and their guests) only this year. With well over 2000 dollars worth of merchandise being donated/purchased and our meal being catered, this is shaping up to be our best Holiday Party ever!

For anglers in the northeast, and members of the KFA-NY specifically, it is a magical time of the year. The honey-do's haven't piled up too badly yet ,Mothers day just passed, and we are just days away from kicking off the kayak season in earnest. No word of weakfish in the Bay yet, now unfortunatly two years in a row- but let's hope that changes come tournament weekend!

Just some things that are going on that are new, or may be new to our newer members

-We are participating in the American Littoral Society Fish Tagging Program. Nearly anything can be tagged except pelagics, and a few southern species. The only costs involved are the tags(5 dollars) and a few minutes of your fishing time. If you want to try it out, please contact me.

-We are still looking for members to participate in the NYS DEC Striped Bass Cooperative Angler Program ...
