Outing Rules:
1. Upon arrival at the launch location, please sign the sign-in sheet. You must provide your name, your cell phone number and the name and contact and phone number of an emergency contact.
2. We will be splitting up into groups to fish together. The number of people in each group will be dependent on the circumstances of the trip. As you are preparing for the trip upon arrival, please start considering a group that you will be a part of.
3. There is to be NO alcohol or illegal drug use permitted on KFA-NY trips, and may be cause for permanent removal from the KFA-NY
4. A PFD must be worn at all times while on the water during a KFA-NY trip
5. Members are expected to practice conservation, sportsmanship, respect and caring for our marine environment
6. Members are expected to carry all coast guard required equipment ( refer to http://www.ratlines.com/VSCforSUBs.htm for a complete listing of required equipment)
7. Also recommended to bring (but not limited to) is drinking water, sun protection, insect protection, a light snack, VHF radio (the club monitors Channel 61), first aid kit, flag, and knife.
8. Members are expected to comply with possessing a NYS recreational fishing license and complying with NYS fishing regulations.
9. Members are permitted to use electric motors. The kayak must comply with NYS regulations. The member will not be eligible for the club tournament for any fish caught.
10. Once the trip is completed. Please sign-out on the sheet!
Communications:
All VHF communications will be done on channel 61.
