  • Striped Bass recipies

    Striped Bass recipies

Came across some great recipes for blues and bass. These were real good and I generally don't eat fish. I finally stopped overcooking it, just cook till meat flakes easy with fork. That makes a big difference!

Add your favorites recipes, always looking for something new and easy to try.

    Another moonless night in December

    Another moonless night in December
    By Darren Mikula
I launched from one of my usual spot on the south shore around eight o’clock PM; high tide was at 10:30 so I hurried into the darkness to catch the last two hours of the flood tide.

Once again it was another wicked dark night, the moon had still not risen from the eastern sky and the clouds were doing their best not to allow any star light through.
To add to my blindness, I would not get any help from my electronics....

Fluke Fishing From the Kayak by Mike Jediny(Sifisto)

Fluke Fishing From the Kayak By Mike Jediny As many take off on the usual trek to the party boat scene dreaming of their eight fish limit, a few decide to become their own captains; and take a much different path. Tired of fishing elbow to elbow, dealing with multiple tangles, and praying for a good drift that possibly may land you a keeper fluke. I’ve always said. “It’s all about the numbers”. Knowing math and understanding the law of averages puts one at a severe disadvantage fishing with ...

Flirting With Disaster By Raza Ahmad

Flirting With Disaster By Raza Ahmad In 2006, my surf fishing season wasn’t so great. Apparently every time I found the fish, they were way out of casting distance. Fortunately for the kayakers, they had no problem reaching the fish, and were having the times their lives. I on the other hand, was contemplating how far I could wade out without filling up my waders, and still manage to fish. This happened for nearly the whole month of October- every trip. That was it, I was ready to buy a ya...

    Tommy The Legend

Tommy came to a man's world to learn of kayak fishing armed with all the video knowledge he could find.
Mother nature always tests the kayak fishermen and Tommy was about to pay his dues.

He came with pictures of fish from legends of this magical place.
    His eyes were aglow .
    Kayaks everywhere he could see.
He was surrounded by legends and history.
Many men have come here and failed.

    The test had begun,...

    HOLY COW!

I woke up early Saturday determined not to get my usual late start at the OTWM Walter Bundy picnic. I plugged West Meadow Beach into Waze at 6am and off I went. Waze decided to bring me to the back of the park behind the marsh. So much for being early, I found the park on my own. I pulled in the lot a bit after 7am and started to set up after greeting other members who were mulling around and getting setup as well. My plan was to fish for Sea Bass during the slack and...
